Hi everyone!
Another post today.
And this one will be my unboxing
of Glamour Box’s May 2014 subscription box with the theme: Perfectly Pristine. The
theme is all about purity and being natural and just perfectly pure. So I kind
of understood why they put full sized and sample sized skincare products in the
subscription box. (YESSSSSS!!!!)
So as all of you may observe in
my previous posts, I am a skincare freak. I have loved skincare ever since I
discovered the eighth wonder of the world that is kpop. (Hehehe. Kidding. Kpop
is a niche and some people may not like it and some people may do like it. So…. Anyways, have
you seen the gorgeous skin of those kpop boys and girls? I’m so jealous.) And
my love just continues to grow each and every day especially if there are
product sales happening on online stores selling Korean skincare and cosmetics products
(gmarket, I’m lookin’ at you!). Right now, it’s so big that its putting a dent
in my wallet. (Prices are really competitive in Gmarket but the shipping costs
just kills your happiness. Trust me.)
Anyways, to make the long story
short, yes, I have become a big fan of Korean skincare. Although I don’t mind
some skincare products that are locally made because some of them actually
work.
Which leads up to me being really happy with
GlamourBox May 2014 subscription box theme. You might be wondering what the
heck is GlamourBox? Well, it’s a Philippine subscription box that lets you
experience some fabulous products that you have never heard before or you heard
but have never tried before. The box retails for ₱ 595.00 per month and can be
subscribed in 2 or 3 months. ^^
So moving on, as you can see in
the pictures in this post, the samples (some of which are full-sized) are all
about skincare and zero about make-up. Which is very FINE with me since I love
skincare more than make-up. Although they are not Korean, I’m happy I can try
other stuff. Who knows, they might work right? (Yes, yes. I know. Make-up does
a lot of wonders to a person because it hides flaws and enhances your assets.
But I do believe that having wonderful skin should not solely depend on the
skills of a make-up artist but also on level of care a person gives to her
skin. I really believe that a person should invest more on skincare than
make-up. If you’re skin is well taken cared of, you’ll have this glow. And you
need less make-up products to cover your flaws too which is a good thing
because less make up means helping your skin breathe.)

As you can see in the pictures, Glamour Box has done a job well done. In my opinion that is. This was my first subscription box and I am just blown away with the amount of samples. Hindi nila tinipid (They did not scrimp) unlike other subscription boxes *coughsaladboxcough* and I really appreciate that. I think GlamourBox and BDJ subscription boxes may not be the first subscription boxes in the country but they are the best because they actually go out of their way and put a loooot of effort into their boxes. And their customer care service is just….wow. (Trust me.)
Some of the products are already familiar to me and mostly are new so it would be fun trying them out and sharing with all of you my thoughts about them. I might post separate reviews on them depending on their performance. Please watch out for that ladies and gents!
